Tox's Story
When I was a kid, I loved Minecraft - I played it day in and day out either building crazy creative worlds, grinding my own survival world or playing on servers. Despite really enjoying the servers I would play on, I always wanted to make something of my own - a place where all players could enjoy classic or custom games and feel at home, as if they were a part of a much larger family. Unfortunately, without any knowledge of how to develop a server, the dream faded as I grew older and gradually stopped playing the game; it wasn't until recently, when I decided to hop back onto my account for one last time, that the fire was reignited.
Pandemia's Origins
Pandemia started as a small passion project for my little brother and quickly evolved into something much bigger. As I worked on developing and implementing my ideas, I knew that I wanted to share them with the Minecraft universe, for all players to enjoy. And thus, Pandemia was born.
The name “Pandemia” comes from Greek, where PAN (πᾶν) means all, every, entire, and DEMOS (δῆμος) means people, the people, the population; traced back to its roots, the word means “All people,” “Everyone,” or “The whole community”. Pandemia is more than just a name - it is a representation of an everlasting mission to create a familial space for all players.
Looking Ahead
Although the goal was to “finish” Pandemia by releasing it to the public, I quickly realized that it would never really be finished as I continued to come up with crazy ideas for games that I wanted players to experience; and it is with great joy and gratitude that I can now tell you that these ideas are currently being developed and will be released in future updates.
Welcome to Pandemia, The Server for Everyone.
